small girl

20031218-smallgirl.jpgThe small girl is one feisty kid, somehow her silly parents always pisses her off. When she wants something, she is very persistant, she does not give up untill she gets it. I can feel that she is a fighter, she has the spirit of not giving up, not succumbing to the given, she will do what it takes to get it her way. Feisty… very feisty… On one hand i’m happy, but on the other hand, she is quite a handful… But i do thank God for her energy and her apparent zest for life, very active, hyper active. I must always remind myself to give her the attention she deserves and not like many parents who are so busy that they only “entertain” their kids…

Clié is now very interactive, she is starting to show signs of understanding, but i reckon she is still trying to figure out what we are trying to express. Its really challenging… its like she speaks a totally different language and her level of comprehension is very different to ours, so i try to get to her level and try to understand and be sensitive to her needs and requests. Its not easy, i believe every kid will have their own character.

And yes, Pearl is doing a far better job than i am.

life in Punggol

20031210-punggol.jpg

Its 2 weeks now since we moved into our flat in punggol and we are still settling in. We still do not have a dinning table, so when Dezzo and Hazel came over for dinner we had some problems putting food on the table… what table… haha… the lovely couple just came back from their honeymoon at Maldives *so envy*.

We also had John and Ann over for dinner today and we had to bring out the study table… we found out we have got not enough chairs… haha… really love having them over. They live in the next suburb from us, i believe we’ll seeing them very often… jln kayu prata… i can just smell it.

I so wanna build thepans@punggol, but i think that has got to wait, cause the past 2 weeks of no net, means plenty of work piled up. So here is a picture for a small preview. But seriously, thats about all there is to see in our house. Its quite plain. This picture was taken before we shifted in.

suburban taxonomy

Now i’m officially living in the North Eastern part of Singapore now and i’m proud to be a “Punggolian?”

Its quite interesting how we should label ourselves because we are living in an area or suburb. Here are a few that i think might work.

Punggol = Punggolian
Seng Kang = Seng Kanger
Marine Parade = Marine Parader
Chua Chu Kang = CCKer
Teck Whye = Teck Whye-ian (By Sylvy)
Katong = Katongitte (by Alfe)
Holland V = Hollie (by Esmond)
River Valley = River Valleyia (by Brenmae)
Hougang = Hougangster
Jurong = Juronger
Mountbatten = Mountbattie
Eunos = Eunosie

What else?

back online

Wah its so good to be finally back online. Now i’ve gotta clear the avalanche or work. Got lots of pictures of the house to upload as well… Keep tuned…

unzip

we are unpacking and we are indeed enjoying for the very first time plenty of space. When we were at my parent’s place when Pearl and i got married, we just had 1 room, then when we went to Australia to study we were in a smaller room, then when we came back Singapore, we moved into Pearl’s Sister’s place and we lived in an even more tiny room (big thanks Davis and Sharon for kindly putting us up in their place). But now we got a whole 5 room flat all to ourselves… say space!!

S P A C E ! ! !

For the next few days we will still not have access to the net as we just connected our phone line and our ISP is currently doing our broadband relocation. More photos will be uploaded then.

I seriously miss not being on the net.
