Its back to School now. The dry heat thats in this town of Perth in Feb is really no joke, how i long for fall where the cool winds starts blowing again. If you wanna have a look at the weather here in Perth go to Bureau of Meteorology’s site.
Good literature is hard to come by and especially in this era where everyone has something to say. In 1997 when I read Roger Black’s Websites that Work I was inspired, my fundamentals to web design became firmly established. Recently Jakob Nielsen, the Interface guru released Designing Web Usability: The Practice of Simplicity, its also another good book, but as a student, I am trying very hard to borrow one of the two copies from my school’s library.
Now I am gonna get myself a copy of Cre@teOnline which I think is a good periodic read & industry reference for web enabled individuals. Alternative is also a good collection of inspirational sites, if thumbnails of good sites is your inspiration then Cool Homepages is a site you must bookmark.
Today is my last day at AsiaOne.com. My heart feels like its in a Lava Lamp as my mind and lazy bones embraces unemployment while the bond of new and old friendship thugs me in the opposite direction.
There was a bug in my “longtong” (soupy dish with rice cake). I think the bug hid inside some veggie and managed to get cooked and eventually ended up in my bowl. Hmm… kinda revolting, anyway do check out BugBios a very nice site which proclaims “shameless promotion of insect appreciation”.
