Idiosyncrasy
“a particular strange or unusual habit, way of behaving or feature that someone or something has. It’s an idiosyncrasy of hers that she always smells a book before opening it. One of the idiosyncrasies of this printer is that you can’t stop it once it has started to print.” ~ taken from Cambridge Dictionaries Online
