Just came back from an evening service at riverview church and i have to say, they are really impressive. Apart from the very wonderful hillsong like worship team, there was an amazing a cappella group The Idea of North performing there as well this week. Really good stuff! The senior pastor Philip Baker was quite cool, cuz he was like in t-shirt and jeans, darn cool, darn relax, darn real… The sermon was really good, by Sy Rogers… it was about pain and why God allows pain and what pain is all about. He is very “un-churchy”… very blunt and very strong character.

Pearl and myself will most probably attend this church, cuz they have evening services.

The view out of my window

Doing mainly everything on the computer, this is the view i see all the time. When my eyes are tired i just look away from the screen and look at the calm and gentle swaying trees out of the window.

The view is not much, but i can feel God’s comforting peace and serenity with each gentle breath he blows on that tree. I believe its God’s way of reminding me to keep things into perspective. Life is not all pressure and work, its also filled with joy and rewards. Just look at that tree, i did nothing to deserve it and yet, he placed it there for me. To remind me… to show his love… to be God…

Here I am, absorbing the positive energies of standards compliant markup languages, while at the same time paying school fees to learn some non-web-compliance application like Lotus Notes.

Have submitted my Online Lotus Notes Movie Distributor website with a non working Order Form. This is the first time i have ever submitted an assignment with the knowledge that parts of it is not working. This sucks, Lotus Notes sucks and i wonder why in the first place did the school wanted students to learn it?

I heard from Lecturers that this unit is going to be canned in future semesters. I won’t say that Notes is not a good application, but its just that i ventured into the wrong alley, the web is what i wanna do, not some proprietary application that costs a bomb… just too bad for me… it was a painful experience…
