francis

nick,

deeply regret to inform you that francis has gone home to be with the Lord.

he suffered a relapse of his cancer, and didn’t inform most of us of the severity of his condition.

just found out today from a friend of a friend. i’m still in shock, but am so happy that he is with the lord right now.

the saddest part of it is he just saw the birth of his second son two weeks ago.

hope you’d spend some time praying for his wife and kids. i think the support he and his family have gotten from church of our saviour has been first-class, from what i’ve heard from him previously.

Francis,

I heard the news from Leonard… We love you… i know you are with the lord now, but i really hope you can recieve this. You are one of the best colleagues i ever had and those days when we went for lunches are one of the best days in my life. I remembered how you made fun of me as being your son as i had the same name as your son. I thank God for you.

Goodbye…

smell my food

Recently i found out that my favourite smell is chopped garlic thrown into a wok with hot oil. Man… that smell can really summarises the entire history of humans’ relationship with cooking.

to grant or to grunt

There is a fine line between helping and being taken for granted? But is there such thing as being on the line? Or can I ask how thick is that line? That would mean there is no feeling of help or a feeling of being taken granted for. It falls not on either side of the line, but on the line itself.

Of late gray is in vogue and monochromic desires rule. I find myself trapped, trying to tread a fine line of white while at times falling into the majority of gray that is so saturated. Should I, should I not? I’ll slap you with immense hatred and embrace you later with moving tears. The anxieties involve in moral dilemmas are just too much to take. How nice it would be if the world was black and white.
