Chicken and Egg

Which came first? The chicken or the egg?

The chicken thought to itself, if there is no egg, how can chicken exists? Hence waited for the egg to be created first. The Egg thought similarly, if there is no chicken, how can eggs exists? Hence waited for the chicken to be created first. With this stalemate, we can be sure that there will never be any chickens or eggs?

But if the chicken initiates to exists first, then we can be sure that there will be eggs. Similarly if the egg initiates to exists first, then we can also be sure that there will be chickens.

So… which came first? The chicken or the egg?

  1. The chicken definitely came first. In the seven days of creation, God created living creatures – so the egg had to come only later. :)

  2. The egg. The modern chicken is generally believed to be a “descendant” of Archaeopteryx, the oldest known bird. This 150 million year old resident of the Jurassic period laid eggs, and at some point evolved into an animal that was one generation away from being a proper chicken. This creature would have produced the egg out of which the first chicken emerged. Therefore, the egg came first. -adapted from Reader’s Digest Jan 2002.

  3. hey all of you… its not about which came first! its about indecisiveness and being initiative. Its not really about the chicken or the egg. Imagine a couple, a guy and a girl both thinking about wheather or not to commit to a relationship, with both thinking… if the other person is committed, then so will i… Its a stalemate!!
