Go Go Bambini

Cleo in coloured balls

We were at Go Go Bambini for a couple of hours today. At $15 per hour per kid, i totally appreciate the free internet usage, the cafe that Mom and Dad can chill out, etc.

The kids loved the playground for sure. It was actually raining outside, but inside, its dry, clean and fun.

The girls definitely went thru all the different corners of the playhouse as i can see their heads bobbing around in it.

Isn’t Cleo way way cute in this one. How apt as she is born in the year of the monkey.

Took a few nice natural pictures of Pearl, we then started taking our own photos only to end up with this odd staring pose. lol…

Mom in hospital

A few weeks back, my mom had a serious case of diarrhea for 2 weeks without knowing whats going on, then came the high fever for several days. After the third doctor have seen her, she was advised to be warded for further investigation.

We all thought it was Dengue, but it was not, then later did we find out that she had Salmonella which later led to Typhoid fever as the bacteria already got into her blood stream.

Once the doctors figured out the problem, it was intense antibiotics drip for her.

My mom have never stayed in the hospital for that many days before and i feel its a good time for her to rest, to regain her sleep as she have been working so hard for too long. Even with this sickness she gets calls from her customers and she still faithfully chat with them on the work at hand briefly before referring them back to the main office for follow up work.

My dad, sis, brothers came regularly to visit her and its always a nice time to just hangout with one another.

I hope she gets well soon and be back to her healthy mode once again.

MOE Revamps

What do you think of the new MOE website?

Personally i think is very clean and very professionally done.

Not to mentioned it validates XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS level 2.1. All these thanks to Lucian.

If you increased the font size via your browser, the main highlight image also scales up, how cool is that.

I hope to see more goverment websites being revamped… for the better of cause.

Web 2.0 Emerging Industries

Was at Start-Up@Singapore’s Emerging Industry Series about Web 2.0. The 3 speakers there were Stuart Tan, Vanessa Tan and Kelvin Lim virtually.

It was interesting to hear people talk about Web 2.0, cuz we all hear it all the time and its one of those terms that we don’t really know for sure if we have the correct definition but use all the time.

Web 2.0 is a trend in the use of World Wide Web technology and web design that aims to facilitate creativity, information sharing, and, most notably, collaboration among users.

Web 2.0 is the term given to describe a second generation of the World Wide Web that is focused on the ability for people to collaborate and share information online. Web 2.0 basically refers to the transition from static HTML Web pages to a more dynamic Web that is more organized and is based on serving Web applications to users.

Flowers for the lady

Its been a tough few months for the both of us. Work, kids, family, the maid situation, life in general.

I had sometime on my hands, so i had a whole day planned out to surprise my wife at work and date her for the evening.

I called her at her office, interrupted her meeting by asking her to come out to meet me at her lift lobby and passed her a bouquet of pink roses. She was totally surprised!! Mission well done.

We then met up after her work and went for Sushi at Paragon.

The whole mood of the evening was totally different. We enjoyed each other’s company and the conversations were lively as compared the things we talk to one another about for the past few months. She then asked me how long will i treat her like that. My answer was “from now on”. I hope i can live up to it. Its not going to be easy, but i shall try.

Till the next exciting date.
