A day at the Zoo

Cleo on a Cow

Its a family day to the Zoo today and i’ve been looking forward to it for some time already.

Both on Pram

This time we were clever, we did not rent the trolley thingy… we just made do with our sturdy pram. Both Clié and Cleo managed to sit comfortably in it. I think in a years time, this might not be possible already.

My Clié loves using the digital camera and enjoys taking pictures. Maybe its a gadget thing, maybe its a i-can-control-this-device thing, maybe she just wanna do what i do. Ok, so a silly picture for all to see. :)

Elephants

We were in time for the elephant show and Cleo was just glued to the performance. Clié however just wanted to take pictures of the elephants and was afraid when they came close to spray water at us thru their trunks. lol…

Our helper

Our helper

Thank God for this beautiful soul. Our helper is such a wonderful person and also an amazing help in our family. She not only keeps our house clean and tidy, she is more importantly the one that takes care of our kids when we are busy. She loves our kids and our kids love her too.

Recently it was her birthday and she wanted to buy us a nice dinner. She asked us if $100 would be enough for her to buy us a dinner at Fish & Co… we were speechless… $100 is alot of money as compared to what she was earning and she still wanted to use the money this way.

She is about the same age as us, but being from a different country with different economy and political environment, we are her employers. Its just strange how this world works. In God’s eyes we are all the same.

My Aunt came from LA to visit us and it was a long time since i last saw her. It is also her first time seeing both our kids… so you can imagine how long it has been. Anyway, its so nice to see her again.

Nemo on Ice

We brought the kids to Disney on Ice – Finding Nemo. Other then it being expensive, the experience was quite interesting.

The show totally captivated our kids and they were trying to see what was happening. If you saw the movie, you will be able to tell that the whole performance is the same as the movie, but just with people with ice skates on trying to be like fishes.

The costumes were way cool and the set and props are really awesome. Would i recommend anyone to go see it? nope. But just for the kids, then maybe.

my Black Apple

After my pc crashed in mid January i’ve been checking my emails using my webmail, resizing images with GIMP from my office laptop. Its quite tough not having a machine to work with… its even tougher not having a machine at all.

I have already decided long ago that i will no longer buy a desktop for personal use as we are now in the wireless age. However… Mac or PC, Black or White?… the decision was easy i have to say, but suppressing myself from proceeding was tough. I kept telling myself that i don’t need a laptop as i can just use my office one, i tell myself i should not spend this kinda money, i told myself i can do without it, i told myself i don’t have time for it, i told myself i’ve got to spend alot more just on software… i told myself to preserver, i told myself alot of things… i was constantly in a daze…

I gave up after 2 months… i succumbed… now i tell myself another set of stories. Lame stories.

…

The truth. I invested in myself. And i’m now a happy man. Time now to save up for software.
