Dezzo and Hazel brought Pearl and I to The Scarlet Hotel at Maxwell area today. We were supposed to have coffee there, but apparently the café opens at 7pm. So anyway, we walked down to Keong Siak and settled at Whatever… The Bookstore & Cafe.

The guy who served us was a Greek Australian who was working in Singapore. How cool… I think Singapore is a true metropolitan city.

Its been so long since Pearl and I had coffee with friends, the very last one was just last saturday when we chilled out with Olyna and Adrian till pass mid-night.

Coffee, friends, chill out… I wish we all could have more of that. (i’m speaking on behalf of all the young parents who have 2 kids and above!)

Soccering II

Good news from the X-Ray report, there is no signs of crack on my ribs! yeah! Thank God! The doctor said its most likely that the collision cause internal bruises and muscle aches. Yeah! Now i don’t have to worry that my rib will just suddenly snap and puncture my lung. Honestly that was what i was worried about since that incident.

Soccering

Had an excellent time playing street soccer at Taman Jurong Street Soccer Court on sunday. Its a real re-charger as i’ve not been exercising for months. I really miss those days in school where playing soccer seems to be the only thing to do, but now with work, kids and family, it can get quite difficult to allocate time for such activities. I’m just glad i finally managed to get some exercise.

During the play i had a minor collision with another player of the opposite team. He was making a turn and i was rushing towards him to get the ball. In a split second, his head smashed into my left chest. The pain was pretty bad, but bearable. I continued playing.

When i got home, the pain became worse, so much so that i could hardly pick my body up when i’m lying down and it also hurts quite badly when i cough. Qutie scared… so i went to the company doctor today and the doctor says that i might have a rib fracture, so refered me to another clinic to take an X-ray. The results should be out soon, hope everything is fine.
