Ginger

Netvibes

Netvibes is the best start page tool now and come to think of it, its my most used web2.0 app. I think i use netvibes at least 5 – 10 times more than Facebook. I know its not a fair comparison as both have different usage.

Ginger

Introducing Ginger: the new Netvibes. Its got loads of tools and its universal. It aims to put everything you have online all in one place and I think they may just succeed. I’ve set up my Universe, so if you do use Netvibes, set yours up too and if i know you, add me as your contact. Visit me at http://www.netvibes.com/nickpan. Have fun.

Singapore Discovery Centre

Clié having breakfast

Went to Singapore Discovery Centre today with the kids. Its been a while since I took them out alone and i have to say it was quite a nice day.

We started off having breakfast at the canteen and it was fishballs and milo for the kids. As you can see Clié is quite excited about the little excursion.

Cleo and Daddy

Cleo did not know what to expect, but I think she is glad to be out of the house too.

Cleo and Daddy with multi races

We took pictures with Singapore’s many races and i have to say the characters are quite nice.

Building a city

There was even a part where there are blocks like blocks (HDB blocks) where you can stack around to build your own city. Quite a nice idea and its fun too.

Army Values

As the SDC is just beside Army Museum, we went in for a peek too. This was the best time for me to explain to my girls why daddy need to wear camo and boots once in a while and go for reservist.

Cougar Ace Singapore

Wired Mag - Techno-Cowboys of the Deep Sea: The Race to Save the Cougar Ace

Packed with 4,703 Mazdas, the deep-sea car transport rolled to its side in the North Pacific in July of 2006. The owners and insurance company called Titan Salvage and Joshua Davis writes this movie-able account in Wired’s March 08 issue.

Titan’s business plan hinged on the idea that ships could be saved by human ingenuity, not horsepower, and the company’s unconventional approach worked.

Totally enjoyed the read, even teared at the end.
