Its Cleo’s birthday weekend and we stayed at Amara Sanctuary. It was a beautiful weekend with absolutely no plans. Its just wake up, have nice breakfast, beach, pool, shower, rest, do nothing, wake up, eat, do nothing, etc.
I’ll beef up with more details later, but now photos first. :)
We’re celebrating Cleo’s birthday early this year and as usual, we’ll always ask the kids what they would like to do for their birthday. Last year Cleo’s was into cars, but this year she wanted balloons and Carebears.
Balloons filled the ceiling
Mommy rented a helium tank and filled the ceiling with pink and white balloons. That was such a sight.
Follow the rainbow
I took some sidewalk chalk and drew directions from the lift door into our house. The idea of rainbows was clearly a thing I had to do as that was such a Carebear thing.

Cleo had loads of Carebears and for her birthday we got her the biggest one.
Cleo adds one more to the family
One of her friend even got her another Carebear. How cute. So now I think there is a small Carebear village in our house. lol…
Clié loves running around and she also like wearing heels. The combination is superbad and many people have came up to tell me so too. So we decided the princess needed a good pair of running shoes.
Its so beautiful right.
Clié's first Nike
I’ve not bought a single Nike product since secondary school and this buy (is not cheap) is something i’m quite happy about.
Was at Botanic Gardens with kids on sunday and many church friends were there too.
It started off nice and breezy and we started playing some group games, but little did we expect it was only 15mins away from a long afternoon shower. Everyone dashed to the nearest shelter and tried their very best to cover all the picnic food and carry them off too.
Oh well, thats that for a fun filled nice afternoon at the Botanic Gardens. But kids being kids, they still managed to have fun. They were looking forward to use their nice little umbrellas that mommy bought a few months back.
Here is a retro song to accompany this post.

No tickets this year, but that does not stop us from trying to catch the spirit of the festivities. Wifey had to work (yes on NDP day during NDP time *sigh*) so its all of us less mommy.
NDP 2008
Knowing that the crowd will be just crazy, i parked at Tanjong Pagar MRT and we took the MRT to City Hall. We wanted to see fireworks (like many other Singaporeans). Walked all over Marina Square and realised that 7+pm was not considered early (fireworks usually happen at 8pm).
The time drew closer and we made do with a location that i think will get a decent view of the fireworks display.
8pm came and Cleo wanted to go to the loo… It was crowded. To navigate thru the crowd and back would just mean no more fireworks. I had no choice… i told her to hold. She say she can’t. I told her to hold.
*bom* *bom* the fireworks started and she got distracted. I carried her up to my shoulders risking the fact that i would get wet. Now i hoped the fireworks would quickly end.
It ended eventually and we quickly went back to City Hall to find a loo for her. What a night!
