We’ve heard alot about Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden near Botanic Garden’s and this time being our first time there, i have to say we did enjoy ourselves.
Of cause there were plants.
There were several playgrounds too.
There was even a waterfall that allowed you to walk under it.
And to complete the experience, the kids even got wet at the water play area.
How i wish i was a kid again. So carefree and every corner is a new discovery.
We’re still in Jan, so its still not too late to think about plans and resolutions.
Its actually quite tricky to set resolutions, cuz you don’t want to set them too easy, else its too easy to achieve, like “i resolute to sleep at least 2 hours per day”… its like duh. Also, we don’t want to set them too difficult, like say “i will be a billionaire by Christmas”. So there is quite a large middle ground for all of us.
But what are good plans? I think many of us have made plans we think is good for us, only to find out later that our short term wisdom might not be enough for this infinite universe with all its mysteries and twists in life. Sometime we make plans, only to find out that selfish desires might not be the best thing for us or even the people around us that we love. So how?
So i make a prayer after reading the following.
To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue.
All a man’s ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD.
Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.
The LORD works out everything for his own ends – even the wicked for a day of disaster.
The LORD detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.
Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the LORD a man avoids evil.
When a man’s ways are pleasing to the LORD, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.
Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice.
In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.
Working late in the office is always more enjoyable with good music. Tonight the Dave Brubeck Quartet does Take Five.
Have seen the Honda Crossroad on the streets before and I like it. Yes its boxy, yes is rigid, yes it looks like a fridge on wheels… and i like it… especially in kitchen appliance white. So, we went to have a look at it and the cool part is even Pearl likes it.
Strange thing is… if I had ALL the money in the world, I would still go for this car… yes over a lambo… yes over a ferrari… etc…
I just like the design of it… Its tight, Its compact… after touching it, sitting in it, checking out the specs… I’m liking it even more. Shucks… but how am i gonna afford it… From what I figure, its going for just under SGD$80k.
With radio friendly R&B tunes in my ear phones pumping away, I walk with a brisk pace while synchronising steps with the heavy down beats. The drizzle collides with my face and i don’t walk any faster. This is the path I have to take in the morning every work day. Its a contemplative route…
