My daughter loves the PC, she points to it and says “Elmo”. She always wants to run the Elmo’s Keyboard-o-rama and that disrupts my work. But today is saturday and i’ve been very productive, so its Elmo Time! ha ha…

PC Woes II
Its officially 10 days now from the day i bought myWhiteP4 and i FINALLY manage to get it up and running! You know things are not good when the OS shows a “blue screen”.
What did i do you might ask. I took out one RAM chip! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! that means both my RAM chips were faulty initially! Now i’ve gotta go change the other one! darn, how unlucky can one get.. what are the odds!
PC Woes
- Formated Hard Disk and created partitions
- Installed OS
- Installed Antivirus, Firewall & Anti-Spyware
- Installed applications
- Updated Antivirus definitions
- Did complete Antivirus scan
- Imported backup data from previous PC
- PC Started showing signs of auto restart
- Re-did steps 1 – 7
- PC Started showing signs of auto restart
- Called shop and was told to bring down PC to check
- Took taxi to SLS
- Replaced faulty RAM chip
- Took taxi home
- Re-did steps 1 – 7
- Got online
- Downloaded Mail, replied some mail and appologised to clients on outstanding work due to PC Woes
- Started working
- in less then 1 hour KENA VIRUS!!! (IE web browser attack)
- Systems files missing
- Run OS Repair but useless
- Reinstall OS over faulty OS
- Got to login screen then auto restart
- PISSED OFF!!!
- to redo steps 1 – 7 when i cool down
Its now pass midnight and i’m still at office rushing work thats due in less then 12hours. Tomorrow still got loads to do… i need to… *sigh*… forget it… i’m getting back to work!
