Facebook Badge

I do have a twitter account but i hardly use it. I always wanted to add something like twitter to my website, but just could not decide which one to use out of the gazillion of web apps out there.

As I do use facebook everyday and see that VanTan have added a Facebook Badge to her site, I added one straight away. I never knew they had this, but its not surprising for such an innovative multi-million dollar company to have such a feature.

This is how it looks like.

And I can customise it more if I want. Cool. Go get yours today.

Web Design Blog

If you subscribe to my website feed, you are probably my friend or someone out there that knows i’m into web stuff.

I’m contemplating setting up another blog to solely talk about Web Stuff.

Do you think i should do it? If so what kind of content would you like to read about?

Siloso

on tram to Siloso

We go to Sentosa all the time, but this time its abit different as my girls (less the big one) had company from my colleagues Shruti and Tse Wei.

the girls on L

The girls did not have so much fun at first as they had to play by themselves when daddy and their new friends were busy talking to others on the beach (its for work). But still, the girls played sand and Clié even did a bit of swimming too.

Clié on S

The fun came when were leaving. We climbed all over the Siloso Sculpture on Siloso beach and took funny pictures.

The girls got bolder and bolder and started scaling the alphabets.

high up on O

We managed to get a group photo up on the green O and it was somewhat high.

Cleo waves

As you can see its quite high. Hi Cleo!. :)

Ted-ing

Of late, i’ve been looking out for inspiration from the web to fuel my daily battle to do good work. I believe if i don’t see good stuff regularly enough, i can’t produce good stuff.

For the past month, i’ve been soaking up Ted Talks. Hope you’ll enjoy them too and be inspired.

Above, Jonathan Harris talks about The Web’s secret stories.

CNY08 Day 1 – YuSheng Extreme

Clié and Cleo CNY Day 1 Outfits

Its the first day of CNY and the girls are all decked out in their new outfits. NICE! I think my wife is a real good shopper. I’ve seen many parents put their kids into China Doll outfits and i think that style can be quite tacky.

Grandparent’s Place

First stop was my parent’s place in Katong area. We had the traditional long life noodles and stayed around abit, then it was off to my in law’s place at West Coast. We had nice red dates longan dessert and just chilled out at my in law’s place. We both feel asleep. Yawn… the sofa i tell you… it has mystical powers… when ever i sit on it, i feel like sleeping. lol…

YuSheng

Then off to my wife’s granny place in Bukit Panjang. We had snacks, watched abit of cable TV, then its off again to our next stop which was my wife’s uncle place in Yishun. We had steamboat and everyone ate alot.

Every year without fail, we will also Lo Hei, this year its super extreme. The YuSheng was laid out directly on the table and it formed a huge “Fu” (Prosperity in Mandarin) shape with Abalone at the peak of the mounds.

YuSheng in Fu Shape

It is quite an amazing sight.

Floor Protection

It will surely get messy, so the floors had to be protected.

Weapons distribution

As everyone came into the kitchen, weapons were distributed. Here you can see my bro-in-law passing a pair of chopsticks to my father in law.

All in Position to Lau YuSheng

Everyone was poised and with a loud “Huat Ah” (Prosper in Hokkien), the chopsticks tossed the colourful dish in the air.

ATTACK the YuSheng

I’ll try to put the 30sec video up when i’ve got time.

Cleo with Playing Cards

And without fail CNY will always have playing cards. Here you can see Cleo trying out her knowledge with numbers.

Thats basically how the first day went.
